Patriots Linebacker Released from Team After Car Accident

|

Brandon Spikes of the New England Patriots has been released from the team following an accident that involved a vehicle registered to Spikes. Early Sunday morning an abandoned Mercedes Maybach owned by Spikes was found abandoned in Foxborough, Mass. The vehicle’s onboard navigation system notified the police that the vehicle supposedly suffered front end damage due to hitting a deer.

Shortly thereafter, the police responded to a driver of a Nissan Murano that stated that an unknown vehicle had rear-ended their vehicle near the same area where Spike’s abandoned vehicle was found and fled the scene. Three occupants were in the Nissan Murano, who all were transported to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. At this time, the police have stated that there is no connection has been established yet between the two incidents, but an investigation is ongoing. Brandon has been in the NFL for five seasons playing linebacker. Four of the season have been with the New England Patriots and one season with the Buffalo Bills.
