A Sunday evening auto accident severely injured an Imperial woman in St. Louis County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Shennial M. Young was operating a 2009 Toyota Camry southbound on Interstate 270 when she lost control of the vehicle near Interstate 44. Young crashed the car in the left lane and exited the vehicle at approximately 6:55 p.m. As she was standing near her car, a 2000 Dodge Intrepid collided with the Toyota which then struck Young. The Dodge was driven by 23-year-old Benjamin A. Wuelling who was uninjured in the crash. Young was transported to the hospital and her current condition is unknown. The accident is under investigation and authorities have not indicated if citations will be issued.
