It is common for individuals to have been involved in a single-vehicle car accident to assume that they do not have grounds to file an accident case. Those assumptions are false! A single-vehicle accident may be caused by the reckless actions of the drivers; however, it may also be caused by dangerous roadways, vehicle design flaws, or mechanical defects. Victims may have grounds to file a case against the roadway engineers, vehicle manufacturer, or another party. The driver could be held responsible if you were injured as a passenger in the vehicle in which they operated negligently. Regardless of the circumstances, all individuals should contact a knowledgeable auto accident attorney to determine liability and if there are grounds to file a case.
