12-year-old killed in semi crash

|

Tragically a 12-year-old girl was killed Monday morning as she was riding in her father's semi truck in Chicago. In addition, the crash happened when the semi left the roadway, and came to a rest on its side. The accident happened on Route 20, which is just northwest of Pinegree Grove. As a result, Dahabrielle Turner was thrown from the semi, and killed at the crash site.

It is not known whether or not the girl was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Dahabrielle's father and driver of the semi, Dior Turner was hurt in the crash as well. The father was sent to a nearby hospital, and is currently in unknown condition. No other cars were involved in the accident, but many utility poles were damaged in the crash. The family members were from South Bend, Indiana, and the semi was from Landstar Inway out of Jacksonville, Florida. To learn more about this developing story, please click here.
