Wrong-Way Driver Killed in Crash

The St. Louis County Police Department is investigating an auto accident that resulted in one death on Friday. The accident occurred in Wildwood, Missouri when a 26-year-old male was operating his vehicle traveling the wrong way on Centaur Road. As he traveled westbound in the eastbound lanes, he swerved to avoid oncoming vehicles, veered off the roadway, and collided with a tree near the intersection of Centaur Road and Eatherton Road. Emergency crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene of the accident and his identity has not yet been released. The accident remains under investigation.
