Teen Killed in Missouri Auto Accident

|

On Friday night, a fatal auto accident claimed the life of a teen and seriously injured two other teens near Lee’s Summit, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Tamerick Wright was operating a vehicle with two passengers, 18-year-old Kenveion West and 17-year-old Nefertiti Smith when the crash occurred. At around 12 a.m., Wright lost control of the vehicle, struck a guardrail, and the vehicle overturned several times. All three teenagers were ejected from the vehicle and Wright was killed in the crash. The other two teens were seriously injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.

Teen drivers are responsible for more auto accidents than any other age group of drivers. Their inexperience and lack of responsibility cause many traffic accidents each year. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, distracted driving, and speeding are common examples of reckless driving demonstrated by all drivers. If you have been injured or lost a loved one in an auto accident, you should seek a legal consultation to determine if you deserve compensation for your damages.
