MO Auto Accident Results in Death

|

Investigators in Missouri are working to determine the cause of an auto accident that claimed the life of one person on Saturday. The accident happened in Blue Springs, Missouri at around 4:40 a.m. when a single-vehicle car accident resulted in the death of the driver. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver was operating his vehicle on Interstate 70 when he veered off the right side of the roadway, hitting a guardrail and a speed limit sign, then overturned several times near Woods Chapel Road. Tragically, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and the Patrol is continuing the investigation.

Every year there are 37,000 people killed in auto accidents in the United States alone, according to the Association for Safe International Road Travel. While the number of fatalities is alarming, more devastating is the fact that a vast majority of these traffic-related deaths are preventable. Dangerous roadways, reckless driving, vehicle design flaws, and mechanical defects are responsible for the thousands of preventable accidents that happen annually. If you have suffered an injury or lost a loved one in an auto accident, you may be entitled to compensation for your damages.
