NFL Fan Falls at Stadium

|

As millions of football fans enjoyed the opening to the NFL season on Sunday, one man sustained serious injuries when he fell at a stadium. The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon at the Sports Authority Field where the Denver Broncos play. According to the Denver Police, a man fell over a railing and landed approximately 15 or 16 feet below. He was transported to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

This accident is the second to happen at a professional sports stadium in less than a month. In August, a fan was killed when he fell to his death at Turner Field, in Atlanta Georgia. He was attending an Atlanta Braves baseball game and fell from the upper deck of the stadium. Although all stadiums must comply with specific regulations and building codes, some experts believe those regulations should be revised.

Any injury or illness sustained on another person’s property due to the negligence of the property owner may be grounds for a premises liability case. Slip and falls, dog bites, food poisoning, and accidents that occur on another party’s property are examples of premises liability cases. If your health or safety was compromised while on another individual or company's property, it is necessary to consult a skilled St. Louis premises liability attorney.
