Church Van Involved in Crash

|

Highway 337 near Mineral Wells, Texas was closed Friday night due to an auto accident involving a church van. The church van, a Chevrolet passenger van, and a Mitsubishi crashed into each other head-on. The driver of the Mitsubishi was killed and seven individuals in the van were injured. The van had departed from Faith Center Assembly of God in Graham transporting seven passengers ranging in age from 11 to 49-years-old. The crash is under investigation and little details have been released.

32,719 people were killed in fatal car crashes in the United States in 2013, according to the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety. Auto accidents are caused by a variety of factors including dangerous roads, rollover accidents, and driver negligence. Driver negligence can be demonstrated through driving under the influence, aggressive driving, and distracted driving. Drivers who inflict injury or death upon other individuals due to their irresponsible driving should be held accountable for their actions. An auto accident attorney can help those injured by filing a case to hold the at-fault driver responsible and recover compensation.
