Many dog lovers argue that the way an animal is raised premeditates how they will behave, yet many times vicious attacks happen from the pit bull breed no matter how they were cared for. Furthermore, the latest dog bite attack proved fatal after a 25-year-old woman was brutally mauled by a pit bull. Sadly, the woman was the dog’s owner as well.
Porsche Nicole Cartee of South Carolina died Saturday afternoon at Beverly Hills Drive after she was bitten on her head and body by her pit bull. Witnesses reported to police they saw the dog maul Cartee, although the incident is still being investigated. Two other family members that lived with Cartee were injured by the dog attack as well.
Cartee had raised the dog since it was a puppy, and it was 7-10 years old. Police are unsure why the dog decided to turn on the family, but it is known that the animal began to attack an older woman first; when Cartee stepped in to save the woman, the dog turned on her. A third woman wrestled the dog and got it off Cartee and placed it in a secure location until police arrived.
