Car Crash Kills Three in Colorado

Tragically in Conifer, Colorado three people have died following a fatal car crash. Furthermore, the car crash happened Friday night on Highway 285 near South Turkey Creek Road when the driver of a BMW was speeding and left the road. After the northbound vehicle lost control, it slid off the right side of the road, rolled many times, and ejected all four people inside.

The victims that died were 23-year-old, Samantha Manzanarez-Benavidez, 25-year-old, Chelsey Gallegos, and 22-year-old, Sean Muniz that were all from near Denver. The driver was 22-year-old, Alex Granillo-Alvarado, and is currently in critical condition at St. Anthony’s West in Lakewood.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. In addition, although the accident happened sometime around 10 p.m. Friday evening, it was not reported until 8 a.m. on Saturday for unknown reasons. It is not known if anyone inside the vehicle had a seatbelt on at the time of the crash.
