Pedestrian safety is a huge concern in many communities and cities across the United States. Each year there are nearly 65,000 pedestrian injuries sustained by people that are walking, biking, and running. It is imperative to abide by all crosswalks, signs, and signals when utilizing bike paths, crosswalks, sidewalks, and roadways. Often, pedestrian accidents can be avoided if pedestrians and drivers are alert and paying attention to their surroundings. However, these accidents do occur and sometimes can leave pedestrians with large medical bills and life-altering injuries. These accidents can also be stressful for victims and their families because they will be responsible for these large costs. An attorney will be available to answer any questions or concerns you have, and if you were injured, an attorney could determine if you have grounds to pursue legal action.
