The city of Paterson, New Jersey has agreed to pay $11,500 after a public
works employee was involved in a
vehicle accident. The victim stated that her vehicle was stopped on July 15, 2013, when
it was struck by a public works employee, hitting the front end of her
vehicle. She alleged that the employee was driving negligently and carelessly,
was not making proper observations and did not break speed for the traffic
ahead of him. The victim says she has been suffering from severe and permanent
injuries and has resulted in her losing wages and incurring medical expenses.
Vehicle accidents send thousands to the emergency each year with minor
to severe injuries. The injuries can mean large medical bills, physical
therapy needs, lost time and wages from work and possible permanent injuries.
Anyone who is injured in a vehicle accident should contact a personal
injury attorney immediately. If you are injured due to no fault of your
own, you may be eligible for compensation. A qualified attorney will investigate
your case and can determine if you can pursue compensation for any injuries
or damages that you have received due to the accident.
