According to the California Highway Patrol, more drunk drivers were arrested
this New Year's holiday weekend in San Diego County than last year.

the influence were arrested this New Year's holiday weekend.
At the statewide level,

19 people were killed this year in DUI-related crashes across the state
compared to last year’s 13 people who died. CHP also reports six
people killed in DUI crashes across California were not wearing seat belts.
