Around 80 athletes and fans had to scramble to safety after the roof collapsed at a sports arena in the Czech Republic. The newly-built facility was housing a floorball game when the ceiling starting falling. The cause of the collapse is undetermined however it is thought that the pressure of snow could be a factor on the wooden beams. A frightening video shows everyone running while the roof fell in making the gym go black. An investigation is ongoing, and the site is cordoned off, and no injuries were reported from the accident.

Accidents happen at sporting venues whether it is faulty lighting, slippery floors, poor maintenance or inadequate housekeeping. However, if any injuries happen at these venues, the complex or company may be liable for injuries because of their negligence. These injuries can happen to the players, coaches and fans that are in attendance. The facility and its equipment should be properly maintained at all times and checked on a regular basis. Seeking medical care is important if your injuries warrant attention and then your next call should be to a personal injury attorney. An experienced attorney will investigate every aspect of your case and will determine if you have grounds to pursue legal action.
