Arctic Cat recalls over 20,000 snowmobiles due to possible cracks in the fuel tank which can result in a fire. The company has received 918 reports of incidents which include six reports of fires. Luckily, no injuries have been reported. The recall affects 2007, 2008, and 2009 snowmobiles and includes ten different models. These all come in a variety of colors with the name printed on the side and the model number printed in the owner’s manual. The company recommends that consumers stop using the recalled snowmobiles immediately and contact an Arctic Cat snowmobile dealer to schedule a free repair.

Consumers are protected by product liability laws. Companies, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers are held responsible for the products that they design, manufacture and sell. These products must be safe and reliable for all consumers. If there is a defect or issue, the companies must alert consumers and issue recalls on the product. Sadly, most companies aren’t aware of any problems until consumers report issues and injuries. These injuries can even be severe and result in large medical bills. It is important to remember that if you’re injured by a faulty or defective product to contact a product liability attorney. An attorney will discuss your potential case and determine if you have grounds to pursue legal action for your injuries. The company responsible for the product may also be responsible for bills and expenses you have incurred from your injuries.
