A circus operator is facing charges after a tent collapsed a year ago and killed two people. The Florida-based circus operator, Walker International Events, operated a tent last year in New Hampshire without a license, according to officials. The tent collapsed at the Lancaster Fairgrounds on August 3, 2015, and killed two people and injured fifty others. The two people who were killed in the accident was a Vermont father and his 6-year-old daughter. A storm blew through, causing the tent to topple over with over 100 people inside. Walker International Events faces a felony charge of various violations including operating without a license.

An attorney for the Sarasota circus operator states that the company will plead not guilty. According to officials, Walker International Events facing seven lawsuits in total.
