Fatal Auto Accident Claims 21-year-old

Monday morning a 21-year-old is dead after a
head-on collision in Wallula, WA. The 21-year-old was driving his Dodge Ram truck at 1:30
a.m. when he drove into the other lane and struck with another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle was reported to be uninjured. Authorities
are still investigating the accident but suspect that there was no drugs
or alcohol involved and the driver who died at the scene was wearing his seatbelt.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reports that 5,878 deaths occurred
in 2014 that were frontal impact accidents that involved multiple vehicles.
The were 11, 104 fatalities with a frontal point of impact that year for
all crashes. The frontal point of impact accounted for over 50% of the
crashes in both scenarios. The 21-year-old in this accident falls under
the following statistics. 2014 26% of passenger vehicle occupants killed
were under the age of 25. Also, 73% of passenger vehicle occupants killed
in 2014 were drivers, and 71% of these were males.
