Two Children Hurt In Louisville School Bus Crash

Two children were injured in a Kentucky school bus crash last week in Louisville. According to the Shively Police Department, a Jefferson County Public School bus was involved in an accident with a patrol car. The accident happened around 4:10 p.m. on Thursday in the 1000 block of Farnsley Road.

A patrol car and the school bus collided at the intersection of Fern Lea Road and Farnsley Road. Officials say the Shively police officer was responding to a call at the time of the accident. The school bus was in the process of transporting children from Gutermuth Elementary School. The details of the accident have not been released, but emergency responders say two children were taken to Kosair Children's Hospital with moderate injuries. Authorities say the officer sustained minor injuries received medical treatment at the scene of the accident. The accident is still under investigation.
