Fatal Motor Vehicle Accidents In Missouri Occur Daily

A man was killed Saturday morning in a
motorcycle accident near Northwest Plaza. The Missouri State Highway Patrol say the motorcycle
accident occurred around 11 a.m. on North Highway 67 in North County.
The victim was a 28-year-old Missouri man. Police say the motorcyclist
veered off the road and struck a light pole. The motorcyclist was then
struck by a vehicle traveling behind him. The driver of the vehicle stayed
at the scene and cooperated with police. The driver told police they were
unable to stop before hitting the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was pronounced

According to Columbia police, the victims were killed in a head-on collision
on Interstate 70 in Columbia. Officials report the traffic accident occurred
early Saturday morning when a westbound car was traveling in the eastbound
lanes of the highway and struck another vehicle. The drivers of each vehicle
were killed instantly. Police identified the victims as a 28-year-old
female and a 42-year-old man, both residents of Columbia. The accident
is still under investigation by the Columbia Police.
