Two hit-and-run drivers left two victims in a double
pedestrian accident in St. Louis City. A woman was hit by a driver who fled the scene, and
the man who went to her aid was also struck by a second driver who then
fled the scene. According to police, a woman was crossing the street in
the 7900 block of North Broadway just prior to 1:30 a.m. when a vehicle
speeding struck her. A man witnessed the accident and attempted to help
the woman when he was struck by a second vehicle which was also speeding
down North Broadway. Police say the second vehicle also left the scene.
Authorities say both victims were taken to a nearby hospital. Officials
say the woman died from her injuries sustained in the crash. Police are
aggressively searching for the two hit-and-run drivers. Anyone with details
of the accident is asked to call Crime Stoppers. An investigation is being
conducted, and additional details have not been released. The identities
of the victims have also not been released by police at this time.
