|

Schnucks, a popular Missouri-based regional supermarket chain, has issued a recall of certain marinated grilled chicken breasts out of concern that they may be undercooked. Schnucks Kitchen of O’Fallon, Missouri, issued the recall on Friday of their Butter Garlic Grilled Marinated Chicken Breasts found at 16 locations in Missouri. The recall also affects stores in other states, including two in Indiana and eight in Illinois. Undercooked chicken can cause serious and possible life threatening illnesses, and customers should discard immediately.

Schnucks are encouraging all customer who may have bought the Butter Garlic Grilled Marinated Chicken Breasts at the Deli/Chef’s Express department on Wednesday or Thursday to bring the product or receipt back for a refund at affected stores. According to officials, it is unknown if any illnesses have been linked to the recalled chicken. Schnucks says the affected Missouri stores are in St. Louis, Creve Coeur, Twin Oaks, Ballwin, Richmond Heights, Eureka, Arnold, Farmington, St. Peters, Cottleville, Washington and Columbia. The Illinois locations are in Carbondale, Centralia, Edwardsville, Granite City, Loves Park, Pekin, and Rockford. The only affected stores in Indiana are in Evansville. All questions can be answered by the Schnucks headquarters in O'Fallon during normal business hours.
