Pedestrian Struck by Teen Driver

A 37-year-old woman suffered severe injuries in a
pedestrian accident when she was hit by a teen motorist in Naperville, Illinois. Reports stated
that the 17-year-old driver lost control of her SUV, left the roadway
and then struck the pedestrian who was walking. The victim, from Joliet,
Illinois, was taken to a local hospital with potentially life-threatening
injuries. The city’s Traffic Unit is investigating the accident,
and no citations have been issued at this time.
On average, a pedestrian is injured every 8 minutes in traffic crashes.
This is a scary statistic especially for those who rely on alternate transportation
as their way of travel. What is more alarming is the number of bills that
can pile up due to injuries in pedestrian accidents. But what do you do
if you’ve been injured in an accident? Will insurance cover your
costs? What if you or a loved one requires specialized therapy and that
isn’t covered? There are so many questions to ask that it is essential
to speak with an experienced personal injury attorney. An attorney can
help you address the questions and concerns you have while fighting for
fair compensation for your injuries. Pedestrian accidents are traumatic,
but your medical bills don’t have to be.
