Tractor-Trailer Accident in Kentucky Results in Fatality

According to the Kentucky State Police, an Eddyville man died after his pickup truck was involved in a tractor-trailer accident. Witness say at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, the eastbound pickup truck crossed the centerline of U.S. 62 in Lyon County. The pickup truck was then struck by the oncoming westbound tractor-trailer. The impact happened at the 13.5-mile point of U.S. 62. Troopers say the victim was not wearing his seat belt. Kentucky State Police report that alcohol is not involved in the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
