NFL Player Injured in Motorcycle Crash

|

An NFL player was seriously injured in a Miami-Dade motorcycle accident on Thursday night. According to police, 23-year-old Tray Walker, a cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens, was operating a motorbike when he was involved in a collision with an SUV near the intersection of NW 75th Street and NW 21st Avenue. The collision occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. and was severe. Walker was transported to the hospital via ambulance and is currently in critical condition. Police believe that he was wearing dark clothing and his motorbike either did not have a headlight or it was not illuminated. The driver of the SUV is not expected to receive any citations.

A large portion of motorcycle accidents are severe and cause serious injuries and death. Any driver that desires to obtain a motorcycle license is required to attend an educational course regarding the rules and regulations of operating a motorcycle. During the course, individuals are informed of the laws pertaining to driving a motorcycle, as well as the risks involved. Some motorcyclists are guilty of driving recklessly, however, many motorcycle accidents are caused by the negligence of other drivers. Any individual that has been involved in a motorcycle crash should seek a legal consultation to determine their rights for recovering compensation.
