|

This month, a California driver of a dump truck waived his right to a hearing after a fatal auto accident that killed a veteran training officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. The dump truck driver will be charged with gross vehicular manslaughter. The 47-year-old truck driver crashed into a police vehicle when his brakes failed on March 7th. The 16-year LAPD veteran was pronounced dead at the scene and his female partner was also injured. The truck driver could face up to six years in prison for killing the 40-year-old officer.
