Two New Jersey city employees were injured in a work zone accident involving an electrical fire this past Monday. Both city employees suffered burns when an electrical flash fire occurred at 4:45 p.m. at an underground PECO substation in Center City. The electrical fire occurred underground at 23rd and Market Street. One of the city workers suffered 2nd and 3rd-degree burns, and the other city worker suffered superficial facial burns. Their current condition has yet to be released. According to a spokesperson for PECO, both men were wearing appropriate safety gear when the fire broke out. The accident is still under investigation, and it is unknown what caused the flash fire.

Thousands of workers are seriously injured every year in our nation. If you’ve suffered a workplace injury, you will typically look to Missouri’s workers’ compensation for help. Workers’ compensation pays most bills and lost wages, but it has its limitations. Worker’s comp does not cover non-economic damages such as pain, suffering, lack of mobility, disfigurement, mental anguish, or inability to enjoy the activities that once made your life worth living. Having the right workers’ compensation representation can make all the difference in the amount of compensation you recover after your accident.
