Woman Sues EOS Lip Balm for Suffering Blisters

|

Numerous media sources have reported that EOS lip balm caused severe blistering and injuries to a woman’s mouth after applying the balm. California resident, Rachel Cronin, filed a lawsuit on January 12th against the company EOS, Evolution of Smooth, claiming she suffered serious injuries to her lips and surround area of her mouth after using their lip balm. Cronin was treated at a hospital for her injuries and claims the rash did not subside for 10 days. She believes the company falsely represented their product and is seeking an undisclosed amount of compensation.

When purchasing a product, consumers assume that they will not suffer any injuries or illnesses caused by the item, and rightfully so. Manufacturers are required by product liability laws to produce a consumer good that is free from harm or defect and is properly labeled with any warnings about potential danger. Tragically, thousands of individuals are treated at emergency rooms every year after sustaining damages from an unsafe product. Negligent manufacturers should be held accountable for the harm they have caused the consumer, making it imperative to contact a product liability attorney.

The product liability lawyers at Meyerkord & Kurth are passionate about holding a liable manufacturer responsible for ignoring the safety and wellness of their consumers. Your health and safety should always be the top priority and when a manufacturer ignores that, they are negligent in providing a safe product. We will fight to recover the maximum compensation available for all of your damages while being available at all times. Contact our St. Louis office today for a free no-obligation consultation.
