Missouri Man Killed in Indiana Hit and Run Accident

The Indiana State Police are working to identify a driver responsible for a hit and run accident that happened on Friday. According to authorities, St. Charles resident 58-year-old Mark Tobiasz was driving along southbound Interstate 65 when they believe he ran out of gas. As he was walking along the shoulder of the highway, he was struck by an unknown vehicle. Police responded to calls reporting the man walking along the roadway, and at around 5:30 a.m. they discovered Tobiasz body. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and the driver responsible fled the scene. Investigators believe the driver may have been operating a semi-truck.
