Fatal Workplace Accident Prompts Investigation

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating a workplace accident that resulted in the death of a worker. The fatal accident occurred in Rose Hill, Kansas on Tuesday morning. According to the Rose Hill Police, at around 6:30 a.m. when a 24-year-old man was operating a lathe when an accident happened causing the worker to be struck in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene and first responders believe he was killed instantly. The workers identity has not been released, but authorities stated that he is a veteran who is married with children. The investigation is expected to take several months.
