Popular Carpet Cleaner Recalled Due to Health Hazard

The Milliken Company has recalled over 550,000 popular powdered carpet cleaner due to the possibility of harmful bacteria in the containers. The recall includes Arm & Hammer, Capture, Oreck, Resista, Riccar and Healthy Home dry carpet cleaners. The company reported that exposure to the bacteria could pose a risk of respiratory and other infections in individuals with compromised immune systems. These were sold at Home Depot, Lows, Menards, Walmart, Oreck and specialty carpet and vacuum stores across the nation from July 2015 through September 2016. The company recommends that consumers stop using the recalled product and contact the company directly for a free replacement.
