Lawsuit Filed After Fatal Chicago Auto Accident

|

A lawsuit has been filed by a Chicago woman who lost both her parents in a deadly accident last month. The lawsuit is against a driver who rear-ended a vehicle carrying the woman and her parents on I-290 near the west Chicago suburb of Elmhurst on July 16. According to the lawsuit, the driver crashed into the back of the vehicle at a high rate of speed, pushing it into the rear of a tractor-trailer. Both of her parents died from injuries suffered in the accident, and the woman was injured as well. Her father was 82-years-old, and her mother was 77-years -old. The family was traveling together to celebrate at a graduation party when the tragic accident occurred. The plaintiff brought the suit against the driver and the driver’s employer, Motorcar Solutions, on Tuesday in the Cook County Circuit Court. The driver is being accused of negligence and driving reckless. The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount of compensation.
