Missouri Teen Injured After Being Shot By BB Gun While Driving

|

A teen was injured after being shot with a BB in the temple while driving his car on a country road near Eldon, Missouri. The teenager had four other passengers in the car when he suddenly felt pain in his temple and became very disoriented. The teen received emergency treatment and medical professionals took two hours to remove the BB lodged in his temple. The teen also suffered bleeding in the brain. Sheriff's deputies reported the shooter of the toy BB gun to be a 31-year-old man. The Highway Patrol trooper reported the man claimed to have aimed the BB gun at the car, but did not mean to hit anyone. The man is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and second-degree assault. The teenage driver is still healing from the injury and will not be allowed to drive for six months.
