|

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating an auto accident that involved two vehicles on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred in Antonia, approximately 36 miles south of St. Louis. According to the Patrol, at approximately 11:13 a.m. 18-year-old Nicholas Wynde was operating a 1995 Honda Accord on Highway M traveling west. Wynde rear-ended a vehicle being towed by a 2000 Mack Truck driven by 66-year-old John Peters. The collision occurred near Old Lemay Ferry Road injuring Wynde and his three male passengers. Two of the injured were transported to the hospital for treatment, and two others refused medical treatment at the scene. Peters was uninjured in the accident, but both vehicles sustained severe damage. None of the occupants in the Honda were wearing seat belts, and it is unknown if there have been any citations issued.
