One Dead, One Injured in Motorcycle Crash

|

Last Wednesday evening, two individuals were discovered laying on the roadway after a motorcycle accident had occurred. Authorities in Hampton, New Hampshire, are investigating the accident that happened on Lafayette Road. Police know that 54-year-old James Burns was operating the motorcycle with an unidentified passenger when he lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons. Both Burns and the passenger were transported to the hospital where Burns succumbed to his injuries. The passenger was treated and released. The accident is under investigation and authorities are trying to determine if alcohol played a factor in the crash.

Motorcycles are viewed by many as a dangerous vehicle, but when handled with proper care, they are no more dangerous than any other vehicle. However, in the event of a motorcycle accident, serious injuries and death are likely to occur due to the lack of protection offered by the motorcycle. Motorcycles can be difficult for drivers to see on the roadway, especially when in a vehicle’s blind spot. Drivers should devote all of the attention to the roadways and their surrounds to prevent any type of auto accidents, and when they fail to operate their vehicle responsibly, an accident can occur. All motorcycle accidents should be investigated by an experienced personal injury attorney to ensure that the victims will receive justice for their damages.
