Chicago DUI Accident Kills One, Injures Two

A serious DUI car accident resulted in the death of a woman and injured two others in Chicago. The accident happened during the very early hours on Friday on Interstate 94. According to the Illinois State Police, a man was operating a vehicle northbound when he collided with a concrete wall of the express lanes near 31st street. The driver and two passengers, including a 2-year-old child, were transported by ambulance to the hospital. The passenger of the vehicle, 29-year-old Chalan V. Peterson, died from her injuries a few hours after the crash. The driver and the toddler are believed to have non-life threatening injuries. The police charged the driver with driving under the influence, and the investigation is ongoing.
