Sadly a fatal accident with a semi has left two people dead. In addition, the deadly accident happened Tuesday night on the River Road when a pickup truck headed into oncoming traffic, and struck a tractor-trailer head on. The crash happened near the Illinois River, which is just outside St. Louis, Missouri.
As the pickup was headed south, it crossed over the centerline and struck the semi. Likewise, 76-year-old, William Bick was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Furthermore, the 64-year-old passenger, Maria Swan was killed in the crash as well. The 54-year-old semi driver, Mark Gourley was uninjured in the crash. Thus far it is unknown what caused Bick to cross over to oncoming traffic, and the crash in currently under investigation.
