STL woman pleads guilty to killing pedestrian

|

Obviously driving while intoxicated is never a good decision, and many drivers that do so don't realize it could hurt more people than just themselves. Sadly, in August 2013, 30-year-old, Heather Reid decided to get behind the wheel of her vehicle while intoxicated. Tragically, this choice has left one person dead. In addition, Reid fatally struck, 73-year-old, Frederick Lyles in University City, Missouri.

Reid was driving drunk behind the wheel, swerved off the road, and hit Lyles. Reid now faces up to 15 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter, which she has pleaded guilty to. Reid will be sentenced April 30th. Lyles was a teacher for many years at the Central Visual and Performing Arts High School before his death.
