Walgreens Recalls Women's Vitamins

|

If you’ve recently purchased women’s multivitamins from Walgreens, you may want to check your bottle. In addition, Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. is currently recalling a selection of women’s multivitamins because the bottle is not child resistant. Likewise, Walgreens has stated that nearly 17,000 bottles of “Well at Walgreens” multivitamins 50+ do not meet Poison Prevention Packaging Act standards.

The following UPC codes are involved in the recall:

  • 3-11917-17262-0

Also lot numbers:

  • 000001-expiration 9/2016
  • 000002-expiration 12/2016
  • 000003-expiration 11/2016

All bottles were sold at Walgreens between January to March 2015. If young children swallow the vitamins, it can be harmful or fatal because they contain iron. Luckily no injuries have been reported.
