Likewise, a Madison County, Illinois man has been charged with assult to an underage girl he met on an online dating website. 42-year-old, Wayne Buckingham lured a 14-year-old girl via the dating website called, Tag, and was found by police in the backseat of a car.
Police are reminding parents to be involved as much as they can in children’s lives to help to protect them from such situations. Although unfortunate, police are stating the child safety incident seems to be isolated. Buckingham is now charged with felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse and if found guilty will face up to seven years behind bars.
