Another Massive Chicken Recall Unveiled

|

Following the recent Barber Foods recall affecting over 1.7 million pounds of frozen, stuffed, and raw chicken products, another company has followed suit. Likewise, Aspen Foods has announced today that they are recalling 1.9 million pounds of chicken products as well. In Minnesota, three people became infected with Salmonella enteritdis after consuming the company’s cordon bleu stuffed chicken breast.

Aspen products are also shipped nationwide under such names as:

  • Sysco
  • Safeway Kitchens
  • Kirkwood
  • Antioch Farms

The chicken products were produced from April 15, 2015-July 10, 2015, with best by dates of July 14, 2016, and October 10, 2016. In addition, the USDA mark of inspection on the products is P-1358, and was shipped to retail stores and food services companies.
