Investigation Determines Speeding Caused Fatal Crash

|

Authorities have determined that speed was likely the factor in the fatal auto accident that happened on Sunday morning. The accident happened in downtown St. Louis at around 3:50 when 25-year-old David Brewer was driving a vehicle when he collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Broadway and Washington Avenue. Brewer, and his 27-year-old passenger, Derrelle Green were killed in the crash. The occupants of the other vehicle, two men ages 21 and 23, suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital. Their current conditions and the extent of their injuries are unknown.

Most all drivers commit the traffic offense of speeding, whether it be accidental or intentionally. People are typically in a hurry to get from point a to point b, and are often aggravated by speed limits. However, lawmakers have established speed limits that vary to protect all individuals on the roadways. Disregarding any traffic law is reckless and can cause car accidents. Drivers that cause traffic accidents will likely face citations and criminal charges, but those consequences don’t ease the damages sustained by the victims. Individuals who have suffered physical, financial, and emotional damages could be entitled to compensation by consulting a skilled car accident lawyer.
