A single-vehicle rollover accident has resulted in the death of one individual, and another sustaining critical injuries. The accident happened in Bartlett, Illinois on Thursday evening. While few details have been released, authorities believe that six individuals were traveling in a sports utility vehicle when the driver lost control on Route 20. The SUV overturned causing two individuals to be ejected from the vehicle. One individual was pinned under the SUV, four others were transported to the hospital by ambulance, and another was airlifted. Bartlett police have confirmed that one fatality has occurred and another individual is in critical condition. The accident remains under investigation.

Single-vehicle auto accidents that are caused by the negligence of the driver often provide grounds for injured passengers to file an auto accident case. Distracted driving, fatigued driving, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and aggressive driving, are all examples of reckless driving that causes accidents. However, there are other causes of car crashes including vehicle design flaws, mechanical defects, and dangerous roadways. Individuals that suffer damages in accidents that are not their fault may be entitled to compensation. The possibilities of causes are great and require a full investigation to be conducted.
