Tragedy struck in at a place of employment for many individuals in South Carolina. The workplace accident happened on Friday at the Colgate-Palmolive Plant in Greenwood County. The accident claimed the life of an Aiken man, 51-year-old Billy Robert Alexander, who was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was then pronounced dead. Authorities stated that Alexander was testing a pressurized hydraulic hose and it broke lose striking him in the upper body. The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the accident.
