One Missouri police officer is lucky to be alive following a workplace accident that happened during a traffic stop while they were on duty. Furthermore, in Velda City, Missouri a vehicle dragged police officer Friday night during a traffic stop. In addition, the Velda City Officer was in the process of conducting a traffic stop for a driver that was pulled over for a traffic violation.
When the officer approached the vehicle, they were then dragged while the car began to drive off. The officers then tried to chase the vehicle, but lost sight of them in the high-speed pursuit. The officer was injured in the incident, but suffered only minor injuries. The Velda City Police Department is asking for anyone with information about the driver to please call 314-382-7004.
