Carriage Driver Injured in Auto Accident

A carriage was struck by a vehicle, and the carriage driver was run over on Friday evening. A horse-drawn carriage was traveling near the intersection of Locust and Broadway in downtown St. Louis Friday evening when the carriage was struck from behind. A van had rear-ended the carriage and proceeded to run over the carriage driver as he attempted to flee the scene of the accident. Fortunately, police were able to locate and arrest the driver of the van in south St. Louis not long after the crash.
