About 1.6 million step stools have been recalled by the Consumer Safety Commission. The stools have a likelihood of failure increasing the risk of those who use them. The Commission has recalled nine and thirteen inch step stools made by Kennedy International. Kennedy International has stated it is aware of several injuries as a result of the step stools failing or breaking. These particular stools were sold at major retailers between 2010 and 2012 at a cost of around ten dollars.
