Illinois State Police reported that Maurice Currie, 21 died in an automobile accident on Friday night. Mr. Currie was a passenger in of the three vehicles involved in the accident. The accident started by a Ford Explorer driven by John Barr losing control coming to rest on the right line of I-64. A Pontiac Sunfire behind Mr. Barr had to abruptly stop to avoid colliding with the Explorer, and a third vehicle driven by Larry Kogl struck the Explorer and then the rear of the Pontiac Sunfire. Mr. Barr, the driver of the Sunfire, and several of the Sunfire's passengers were taken to a nearby hospital.
