Monday's snow flurry caused few major accidents during the morning and night rush hour commutes. However, two motorists died Monday morning. Amanda Moon died around 8 a.m. just as the snowfall began to settle over the St. Louis area. She was killed on highway 79 when a Ford Explorer crossed the centerline smashing into her vehicle. Ms. Moon was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dennis Cochran was also killed Monday morning in St. Charles County due to similar circumstances. He was travelling on Interstate 64 when a merging car collided with his vehicle sending him off the interstate. Mr. Cochran was pronounced dead at the scene.
