Three women were headed south on Interstate 55 around 3:15 a.m. in a Ford Explorer when the passenger in the front seat asked the driver to pull over so she could fight the back seat passenger. The driver, Cori Jarmon, 33, refused. Then, the passenger grabbed the steering wheel and jerked it to the right. Ms. Jarmon attempted to regain control but overcorrected forcing the vehicle to collide with two other vehicles. The three women in the Ford Explorer were injured as well as people in the two other vehicles. Police have not disclosed the name of the passenger who grabbed the steering wheel or the extent of the injuries to the other parties although two people in one of the other cars were knocked unconscious.
